Vermicelli Kheer


½ cup Apis Vermicelli (Broken in Half)
3 tbsp ghee
¾ cup sugar
2 hot cup milk
½ tbsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
3 to 4 saffron (Kesar) leaves
½ small bowl chopped Dry fruits (Almond, cashew and pista)


Take a kadhai, heat the ghee and add the Apis vermicelli and saute on low flame till it gets light pink-brown shade in colour.
Add 1 cup of water and ¼ cup of milk, mix well and cook on a flame till the Apis vermicelli is cooked (around 4 to 5 minutes) and stir continuously.
Add sugar and remaining 1 ¾ cups of milk and cook on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes and stir continuously.
Add the cardamom powder, saffron and ¼ small bowl of dry fruits and mix well on a flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve the Apis Vermicelli kheer immediately and garnish with chopped dry fruits and saffron leaf.
